New shoots: Partnering with Waves Summit

Changemakers A-hoy!

We’ll be partnering with Waves Summit 2024 in April - an cross-disciplinary event for changemakers held in Helsinki this year.

In between an incredible line-up of speakers (including Daniel Schmachtenberger, Emma Stenström, Kate Raworth, Dominic Hofstetter, Christian Vanizette and Markus Raivio), our collective members Saaramaria and Erika will be hosting a Rest and Resilience station for grounding ourselves and connecting with compassion.

Sowing seeds: Imagining the projects and change the world needs

Deep Democracy Training
For the first time in Finland our collective member Iina Santamäki, alongside Stephanie Bachmair and Kirsi Joenpolvi, will be hosting a 2-day Deep Democracy seminar

Where: Tila, Helsinki. A communal space for co-working & events
When: 12th to the 13th of April at Tila

This seminar is for leaders and change-makers of all kinds, so whether you are studying Deep Democracy or this is your first time hearing about it, you are warmly welcome!

Poetry Open Mic Night
Our collective members Saaramaria and Erika of Ekata Theatre will be hosting a poetry open mic night next week Rönsyillen that combines authentic relating and poetry.

Come along and join on 28th of February at 7pm at restaurant Saarnipuu, in Espoo.

Poetry reminds us how deeply we can feel connected to each other and to the world. We believe that genuine connections and arts are what a hopeful tomorrow is made of, so these tiny pockets of connection are our way of building that tomorrow.

The host is Saaramaria Kuittinen, who will also perform her own poems. You can sign up for the open mic: saaramaria@ekatatheatre.com or at the venue.

The night will be mainly in Finnish but poems in other languages are welcome as well.

Kaikkien Helsinki / Helsinki for Everybody Alliance
We shared last month that we will be signing the Kaikkien Helsinki manifesto as a collective. Due to strikes the signing event was postponed until March, but we would love to see some of you there.
