Ministry of Finance & The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland / Designers in transition
What does it mean to evolve from reactive design to transition design? How can designers have a more long-term and systemic impact? We explored these questions with two different clients and events – with the Public sector network of designers and the Church network of service designers, in the Työ 2.0 Lab event and 2 hours educational workshop.
Our future-oriented approach evoked meaningful reflections about the role of designers in sustainability transitions. The participants learned to reflect sustainability through their own design practice and context, as well as frameworks to create a more long-lasting impact on society.
Working closely with the client, we translated transition vocabulary into Finnish to connect the participants closer to the topic and to develop the transition design practice in Finland.

I recommended it to the public sector network Työ 2.0 Lab, and the hybrid workshop gathered almost a hundred interested collaborators.
