Summary
What if only companies that truly deserve to grow were the ones that succeed?
How can today’s changemakers communicate the ways they are actively reshaping the system?
We partnered with TAKK, a minimalist, essentials-only beauty care brand, to explore four inspiring, sustainable future visions for the beauty industry—and to link these futures directly to present-day actions. By applying a Transition Design approach, we co-created a bold new narrative positioning TAKK as a catalyst for systemic change.

Process
Industry by industry, we must transition toward sustainable systems that support long-term well-being – for people and the planet. Pioneer companies like TAKK are leading this transformation, but they cannot rely on traditional communication strategies to convey their value.
TAKK is already making bold moves toward a sustainable future. The challenge: How can they clearly communicate how their current actions contribute to long-term, systemic transformation in the beauty industry?
In close collaboration with the TAKK team, we designed a participatory process to build a shared narrative:
“TAKK Transition Story: Beyond Beauty, Towards a Caring Future.”
We used Futures Thinking to imagine what a truly sustainable beauty industry could look like—and then mapped how TAKK’s current practices are helping bring those futures into being.
Our Process Included:
Co-creative Transition Design and Futures Thinking workshops with the TAKK team
Analysis of plausible and desirable futures using a Futures Matrix
Aligning inspiring future visions with present-day strategies and systemic actions
Crafting a clear, compelling brand narrative that situates TAKK as a systems change leader
Impact
The result was a cohesive, future-facing brand narrative that not only tells TAKK’s story—but also invites their community into a shared journey toward a more sustainable, caring future. TAKK now communicates their purpose and impact with clarity and credibility, engaging both customers and partners around their long-term vision.
